A Guide to buying responsibly

09 February 2018      Emma Keenan, Procurement Specialist

At a recent Responsible Procurement Group meeting, the group reviewed the ETI guide to buying responsibly as circulated in October last year.  The group recognised the document as one of real benefit to the sector and agreed that this should be highlighted again to ensure anyone interested could easily have access.

The guide was produced by the joint Ethical Trading Initiatives of Denmark, Norway and the UK (Joint ETIs). The Guide includes examples of best practice and gives organisations the tools needed to meet their commitments to better business as outlined in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.  It also outlines the five key business practices that influence wages and working conditions.

If you have any comments on this or any other aspect of Responsible Procurement which you feel HEPA should be highlighting, or discussing, please get in touch.
