FRS 102 brought major changes to the HE SORP and the 2015/16 financial statements for all Universities. BUFDG and all universities put a considerable amount of effort into preparing for the new HE SORP. This preparedness has paid off with a strong set of financial statements produced and deadlines more or less met. As part of the FRS102 project, BUFDG commissioned an in-depth survey into Financial Statements by the BUFDG Financial Reporting Group (FRG) and the Audit Firms to see what further lessons can be learnt for 2016/17 financial statements. The FRG believe it is important to share this review with Universities and so are hosting a series of regional workshops throughout June. These workshops will cover the below:
