More website changes
01 June 2017 Dominic Fryer, Managing Director
As you may have noticed if you’ve visited bufdg.ac.uk over the last two weeks, we now have a new website! We’ve made lots of changes to improve the site for you, and we covered some of them in the Digest two week's ago. Here is a summary of the rest:
Discussions – you can now start a conversation from any news item or content page on the site. At the bottom of the article, will be a place for you to add your comments relating to that page. These comments will feed into the usual discussion boards, so other members will be able to join in the conversation too.
Network – a completely redesigned layout, making it much easier to find the people or institutions you are looking for.
Share – there are 5 new buttons towards the top right of the page which allow you to share content with colleagues – by email, twitter and now a print friendly button too.
Report Content – you can now give us feedback directly from the site – there is a button on each page when you can add your comments and it will come straight to the BUFDG team to deal with.
Processes – it’s not all about technical changes though – we have made some process changes within the BUFDG team to make it easier for us to deliver and manage the content we provide.
And many more little tweaks behind the scenes. You might not ever ‘see’ them, but you’ll hopefully feel that the site just ‘works’ better.
We always welcome feedback, so it you have any comments on the site, please let Dominic know.
