OfS reporting requirements 2017/18 Financial Year (England only)

As you will be aware, in past years HEFCE have requested value for money (VfM) reports or completion of an Annual Efficiency Return (AER) as mandatory requirements. We have now received formal confirmation that the Office for Students (OfS – previously HEFCE) will not this year be asking for any such return.
You may wish to still complete a VfM report for circulation in your own institution and we will still be running the Procurement Value Survey (previously the EMM) during December and January to capture efficiencies.
We understand that further communication regarding accountability returns will be circulated in the next two weeks and we will provide an update on that as soon as it is available.
