Heads of English institutions will have received HEFCE’s accounts direction letter for 17/18 financial statements this week. It’s a long way away yet, but the deadline for submissions will be Monday 3rd December 2018. HEFCE has also published the related Memorandum for Assurance and Accountability. Neither document will hold any surprises.
For those of you, across the whole of the UK, who are beginning to put pen to paper for your 16/17 statements, perhaps consider how you can take another step or two along the journey towards Integrated Reporting. Phase 2 of the BUFDG project has been underway this summer, and the report of that work will be out in time for next week’s Digest.
