Ten top tips for an effective anti-fraud culture

Do you know how to develop an effective anti-fraud culture at your organisation? If you’re answer is not an immediate ‘yes’, then it’s probably worth spending a few minutes reflecting on these ’10 tips’, outlined by Rachael Tiffen, head of the Counter Fraud Centre at CIPFA. Some steps like ‘building fraud awareness’ and ‘ensuring policies and procedures are in order’ might seem like common sense, but the short paragraphs expanding on each will give you a good idea of whether you’re doing all that you can, or just paying lip service to these crucial areas. Other tips like ‘measuring success’, ‘publicising success’ and ‘setting the tone at the top’ are also worth thinking about in more detail.
