HE-focussed training events

07 February 2018      Emma Keenan, Procurement Specialist

Training isn’t just for those new to the profession. We recognise the importance of continued CPD and know that there are real benefits of taking time out of the office, to spend time with peers and build on existing skills. As always, we list a range of appropriate courses here which may be of interest. However, I wanted to bring to your attention a couple of special events we have arranged, over the next couple of months.

Contract Management in the Public sector – London, 26th April. Effective contract management brings even more value to the agreements you have in place, reducing risk, mistakes and often lowering cost by eliminating problems early on. This is an area in the PMAs where many institutions have indicated they need further support. The last two events like this sold out quickly and scored 92% on their satisfaction feedback report.

Introduction to EU procurement – another very popular course, especially useful for those who are experienced procurement professionals but who may have recently entered the world of public procurement.  Run by Achilles and held at the HEPA offices in Loughborough this presents excellent value at just £130+ VAT for the day.

Finally, we are just putting together the finishing touches to a new course covering negotiation in the context of the EU regulations of public procurement.  Delivered by a professional trainer alongside a procurement lawyer this day will provide you with a reminder of key negotiation skills and teach you how to apply them within the law. This event will be held in the Midlands in April. If you would like to register interest please do contact me.

A reminder that we are here for you. If you have a demand for training that we aren’t meeting, get in touch for a chat 07739 659497.
