17 March 2017 Rachel Ward, Learning and Development Manager
It's been quite a while that we've been able to promote a Treasury Management course, but we hope that this one will fill the gap for quality, HE/Charity-specific professional development. The Cass Centre for Charity Effectiveness - based out of City University - has produced a Charity Investment – Theory and Practice course. It's designed to provide practical and comprehensive guidance for anyone entrusted with the stewardship of investment portfolios of non-profit organisations with investible assets of £10m or more. The course is intended for Trustees and finance staff with existing knowledge or Investment Committee experience. Click here for the course brochure.
What the course covers
Course format
The course is divided into three sections, each are two-days long with a four-week gap between each section. This is obviously a substantial commitment, but we think that the rarity of such specific training makes it worthwhile. The course will be led by Professor Paul Palmer and John Harrison. It will feature renowned experts who specialise in charities, investments and asset management. The course will take place on the 26th and 27th April, 25th and 25th May and 21st and 22nd June.
Course cost:
Due to the proximity of the event and the need for them to fill the last places, we've secured a brilliant discount for BUFDG members. Course cost is just £600 for a single delegate. However it's also buy-one-get-one free, so it's £300 per head if sending two delegates. That's not per day. That's for the whole course.
