PVS – Five reasons to submit your figures

We hope by now you will be aware the Procurement Value Survey, which replaces the EMM, is now live and you are invited to submit your efficiencies for the financial year 2017/2018. All heads of procurement have automatically been provided with a login, if you are not a head of procurement but are responsible for submitting the information please get in touch.
There are lots of benefits to competing the PVS. Below I list five key reasons:
It provides you with a central place to report your data and a PDF or excel document for your records;
Preparing data for entry, in itself, provides you with an opportunity to scrutinise the value you are getting from your existing contracts and arrangements;
Submitting data means that HEPA will provide you with a consolidated sector (anonymised) report from whichyou will be able to compare your performance with others;
Reporting your efficiencies via the PVS means you are reporting in the same way as all other HEIs in England and so can demonstrate the tested method to your senior management team.
The PVS provides a way of reporting consistent with historic HEFCE (now OFS) requirements and will meet the needs of (anticipated) future OFS and sector reports.
