06 February 2018 Amanda Darley, Head of Operations and Engagement
Fully updated and revised for 2018, and going back to its roots at the same time…? Our ever-popular 'Introduction to VAT in HE' course has expanded every year and so this year, the original author and presenter of the course, Kerry Sykes, is completely overhauling it.
The course provides an introduction to the strange and complex world of VAT in Higher Education and is aimed at VAT/Tax Managers and other finance professionals who are responsible for completing university VAT returns and/or working with professional advisers on university projects. Anyone new to the HE sector and working on VAT issues would benefit. The course will explain some basic concepts, illustrate some of the situations peculiar to the HE sector, and highlight the areas of difficulty where you may need to take additional advice.
Kerry Sykes of KPMG (and previously Head of Tax at the University of Cambridge) and Amanda Darley of BUFDG will present the course on 8th March at KPMG's Birmingham office. The course costs £350 and more details and booking information can be found here.
