With responsible procurement so high on our agendas it is really pleasing to be able to share some updates in this Digest relating to social value, modern slavery, scope 3 and carbon reduction… plus much more!
Mills & Reeve yesterday ran a very informative webinar which focused on making the most of social value in public procurement. The session really is worth a watch at just 30 mins – you can catch-up on the recording if you missed it and download the slides here.
The Social Value Portal are running a session next week on 4 May at 14:00 to launch the updated National Social Value Measurement Framework, the National TOMs 2021 – you can find out more and sign up here.

Electronics Watch have produced guidance relating to how to protect workers from chemical hazards in electronics supply chains which you can read here.
The UKUPC have released a great guide for suppliers to the sector which provides information on developing modern slavery and human trafficking statements. The guide covers why corporate social responsibility and responsible procurement are important as well as modern slavery statement requirements. You and your suppliers can download the guide here.
