This online, facilitated workshop, spread over two 3-hour modules, is for you if you want to develop your influence. You will gain insights into your own, and others’ communications preferences; know how and when to adjust your influencing style situationally and be able to present compelling cases to non-Finance audiences to develop your credibility and impact.
Objectives:
By the end of the course you will have:
Identifed your stakeholder map and know who to influence and when
Understood your communication style preferences, those of stakeholders, and know how to adapt
Considered the difference between ‘intention’ and ‘impact’ and planned how to close the gap
Created a compelling articulation of how your role/project adds value to stakeholders
Identified the dynamics that block effective communication and have tools to ‘unblock’ critical conversations through observation of ‘forum theatre’
Techniques for using powerful questions that build rapport, insight, put ownership in the right place and turn conflict into dialogue
Core principles of negotiation that can be applied in everyday conversations
