Undergraduate applications fall 4%

There has been a 4% decline in undergraduate applications to universities, at the 30th June deadline, according to the latest UCAS figures. The data also show a 5% drop in applications from EU students, which will no doubt add to the building Brexit concerns. Applications are down across all four home nations. Perhaps of biggest concern, not just for education but for the long-term health of the nation, in the 19% drop in nursing applications.
