Government to give VAT from donated PPE to healthcare charities

The Government has announced that the VAT that has been collected on donated PPE between 1 March and 30 April will be given to charites supporting the NHS and careworkers.
Business have until the end of June to tell HMRC how much VAT has been paid on donated PPE. Affected businesses should contact ppe@hmrc.gov.uk for further information.
