How do you know if your skills match those required at the level you are working or if you are exceeding all expectations? Would you benefit from some training in a specific area? How do you track and record your skills? Where do you start in creating a new job description? The HEPA Competency toolkit can help you answer those questions and more!
Mapped to the CIPS qualification ladder, the HEPA Competency toolkit consists of three sections:
The Competency Framework - approve statements confirming your competency level against set criteria, then create a Personal summary in order to view your results. You may choose to use your personal summary as part of your development process.
The Job Description Competency Tool - This part of the tool utilises an approach of positioning roles across ten generic levels from Foundation, Admin assistant roles to Executive, Director level roles with clear descriptions against each level. Once the level has been identified, it is `possible to further score the position in order to create the requirements for that role in a summary document.
Sample Job descriptions - These are actual completed job descriptions, created by the tool which can be and are used in the sector.
