The first Financial Reporting Group newsletter of the year is now available to download from the website. It includes a number of useful updates, including on accounting for the USS valuation, discount rates and the USS modelling tool, and a whole lot of SORP stuff, including the forthcoming workshops.
Finally, the FRG is aware that the Model Financial Statements need tweaking. The plan will be to make a series of amendments to these in time for compilation of the 2017/18 financial statements. A posting to this effect will appear shortly on the discussion board asking HEIs to inform FRG of any amendments that you think are required, and we’ll also mention it in the Digest. Please do chip in when you see the post go up.
