We are pleased to be hosting our first ever Research Finance Forum on Wednesday 21 June, 10am – 12.30pm.
This online get-together will be hosted by Rachel Ward, BUFDG’s Learning & Development Manager, and Project Manager Joni Rhodes, who joined BUFDG in late 2023 and has a welcome background in research administration.
This will be an opportunity for those with research related roles to share their thoughts and ideas with fellow research staff across UK Higher Education Providers, and hear about research related resources and projects. We will also invite those attending to give feedback on BUFDG membership and suggestions for how we can serve the research community better.
The session will include:
· Compliance Considerations for international fellowships - an update on a project BUFDG have undertaken in conjunction with Vialto Partners and various funding bodies to tackle the complexities surrounding the international elements of these schemes for Higher Education Providers.
· UKRN-Jisc report on collaborating across diverse professions - an update on a project BUFDG have participated in, spearheaded by the UK Reproducibility Network’s Open Research Programme, identifying how professional staff can support open research in UK institutions.
· Introduction to Tax on Research - a look at this brand new e-learning course.
· Links with other organisations - we will share the ideas we have had about working with other organisations and would welcome wider suggestions on this.
· A better BUFDG - an interactive feedback session.
· Research Finance, what is on your mind? An opportunity to share thoughts and ask questions of your fellow members.
