Phase 4 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme has been announced, with the portal for applications set to open in mid-October and close on 25 November 2024.
The scheme, run by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and delivered by Salix, enables public buildings to achieve net zero. Changes have been made to the way that funding decisions will be made, along with the definition of public sector whereby organisations must meet the definition of a ‘public authority’ as defined by the Procurement Act 2023. This may impact the eligibility of higher education institutions.
The Salix website has been updated with detailed information and guidance notes, and interested parties are advised to keep an eye on their events page for details of webinars, which will be an opportunity to ask questions, meet the team, and representatives from the Department.
