To support stakeholders in their preparation for the Act, the Cabinet Office are publishing a suite of guidance documents over the coming months that address all aspects of the new regime. The suite covers a broad range of subjects from covered procurement through to pre-market engagement, award rules, exclusions and contract modifications. The documents are intended to provide technical guidance, and help with interpretation and understanding of the new regime. The Cabinet Office are publishing this guidance in groups, and, following publication of the first set of documents on 26th March, they have now published the second batch of documents in the guidance section of our Transforming Public Procurement web pages.

This new collection comprises guidance on:

  • NPPS (National Procurement Policy Statement)
  • Pipeline notices
  • Planned procurement notices
  • Preliminary Market Engagement (PME)
  • Technical specifications

When the Cabinet Office publish the next batch of documents they will be introducing a simple navigation page to make location of specific guidance easier as the list grows. The Cabinet Office aim to publish the full suite of documents by the end of June 2024.
