As knowledge workers, we’re part of a ‘decision factory’ that deals in information. We literally work with words – thinking, analysing, absorbing, reporting, advising. Yet too few people continue to develop their writing skills once they hit the working world.
How confident are you about getting your message across? Not just hoping that people get to the end of your email or report. But knowing that your readers are clear what steps they need to take next. Because that’s what business writing is all about: helping others to make decisions or take action.
When you improve your writing ability, your communications have more impact – becoming easier to absorb and act on. And you become less stressed and gain more time for the rest of your role.

The delegate fee also includes a 30-minute 1:1 (online) feedback session with Emma Scott-Smith (your facilitator) where you will work on a document together in real time. We will contact you with date options for the 1:1 shortly after your booking is made.
There is an option to purchase a ticket for an additional 30-minute 1:1 (online) session with Emma - if you would like to book this additional time with her, you can either choose this ticket option in addition to the main ticket at the time of booking (or, if you would prefer, wait until after the first 1:1 session before booking the second one).
About Emma Scott-Smith
Previous Delegates have told us:
'I found the 1:1 sessions particularly useful - many of the tips I incorporated into my daily writing immediately and I am already seeing the benefits'
'Thank you for organising the course - I would definitely recommend!'
'I found the training session very useful, especially the extra sessions where Emma went through and gave feedback on my own work. This enabled me to understand how I can better improve my own style of writing based on my past work, and also assisting with applying the techniques that she discussed in the session.'
