We are back, in person, at Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre (University of Birmingham)
The popular annual BUFDG Tax Conference is a two-day residential conference aimed at tax, payroll and global mobility managers and staff, and others responsible for tax in their HEP, but would be of interest to FDs and deputy FDs as well. The conference includes plenary sessions and a choice of several breakout sessions on each day. We are currently working with advisers on producing technical and practical sessions that will be of benefit to all our members and so far, can confirm:
In addition, the HE team at HMRC will be joining us at our opening plenary to discuss what issues they will be focusing on the 2025/26 tax year and general updates on the measures put in place in the 2024/25 tax year.
We’ll continue to add to the timetable as advisers confirm sessions, but rest assured, it will be the usual mix of fantastic technical sessions from a great range of presenters covering the following areas over the two days:
We’ll have a microsite available in the next few days where you’ll find out a lot more information, and where we’ll add the details of sessions once they are confirmed. We’ll update you shortly as soon as it’s available.
Ticket price
The price for both days, including accommodation and food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, refreshments), is £600 plus VAT, however, we are currently offering members an early-bird discount until Monday, 31 March of £500 plus VAT. If you would prefer no accommodation/evening dinner on the Wednesday evening, the cost is £500 plus VAT, but during the early-bird discount period, that cost reduces to £400 plus VAT. There will also be a small number of one-day only places available on a first come, first served basis.
Early booking is recommended not just to avail yourself of the early-bird price, but this is a popular event and registration ends on Friday, 9 May. If the event is already fully booked, then please do put your name on the waiting list (via the booking form) – we can often accommodate some of the waiting list and this helps us to budget for demand in future years. Any queries, please contact Gill.
For those that want to book additional accommodation, we are giving you the opportunity to book a bedroom on the night of Tuesday 10th June as part of the booking process at a discounted rate (than is offered for Edgbaston Park Hotel directly/elsewhere), which will be £130, plus VAT (bed and breakfast rate).
Please note that only the two-day with accommodation package includes accommodation and dinner for the night of Wednesday, 11th June. The other packages are day-only and DO NOT include any accommodation or the evening dinner. If you do not require accommodation but would like to attend our dinner and awards/entertainment on Wednesday 11th, this can be done by clicking on the appropriate ticket combinations within the registration pages, at a cost of £55, plus VAT.
Travel details for the venue can be found here, but you can also check out the virtual tour of the hotel here.
