BUFDG Tax Conference 2025

Book Now!

We are back, in person, at Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre (University of Birmingham)

The popular annual BUFDG Tax Conference is a two-day residential conference aimed at tax, payroll and global mobility managers and staff, and others responsible for tax in their HEP, but would be of interest to FDs and deputy FDs as well. The conference includes plenary sessions and a choice of several breakout sessions on each day. We are currently working with advisers on producing technical and practical sessions that will be of benefit to all our members and so far, can confirm:

  • VAT property legend, Martin Scammell, will be attending in person and presenting his session at the end of the first day
  • Vialto will be taking a technical deep-dive into global mobility issues highlighted by HE global mobility experts, potentially covering both tax, social security and employment law
  • There will be a deep-dive on employment status, including technical updates along with additional resources on getting your processes in the best possible place to mitigate compliance

In addition, the HE team at HMRC will be joining us at our opening plenary to discuss what issues they will be focusing on the 2025/26 tax year and general updates on the measures put in place in the 2024/25 tax year.

We’ll continue to add to the timetable as advisers confirm sessions, but rest assured, it will be the usual mix of fantastic technical sessions from a great range of presenters covering the following areas over the two days:

  • VAT
  • Corporation Tax
  • Employment Tax
  • Global Mobility
  • International Tax
  • and Cross-Tax sessions

Bookmark this page as it will be updated with sessions in the coming weeks!
