Inviting current or former users of the cost of net zero calculator to share feedback one year from launch, and announcing the final session with delivery partners Energise in September.
BACKGROUND
In July 2023, AUDE, BUFDG, and the EAUC, with additional funding from the Department for Education, launched a flagship Cost of Net Zero Calculator tool, together with a report ‘The Cost of Net Zero’, which set the tool in context. This work was undertaken with the aim of helping the sector understand the context, the scale, and the nature of the task, and provide high-level cost estimations for a proposed transition to net zero based on selected targets and scenarios.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU
One year from launch, we are inviting AUDE, BUFDG and EAUC members to provide feedback to inform plans in this area. If you have engaged with the calculator within the past year to any extent, we invite you to share your thoughts via a short survey which should require no more than a few minutes of your time and will help us shape our ongoing support for members in this area.
The closing date for the survey is Wednesday 16 August.
FES UPDATES IMMINENT
Current users of the tool should be aware that updated Future Energy Scenarios are released on 15 July 2024 and will trigger scheduled maintenance on the calculator throughout the summer to ensure its accuracy.
FINAL ENERGISE WEBINAR OPEN FOR BOOKING
In a webinar on Thursday 26 September 11am-12pm delivery partners Energise will explain what has been implemented as a result of the release of the latest Future Energy Scenarios, and how this may impact figures for existing users.
BUFDG, AUDE and EAUC will share data on sector engagement with the calculator, highlights from the review survey, and how this information has informed future plans for this tool.
There will also be time allocated for the final ‘surgery’ with Energise, which will be the last chance for those using the calculator to seek direct technical support from the developers prior to the end of the maintenance contract.
